About

Thank you for visiting our website! We strive to make everyone feel welcome. We understand no church is perfect, so we hope you don't expect perfection. What we do hope, is that through keeping our eyes set on Jesus, and through evaluation of our efforts, we can build a church community that is a shining light to the community we live in. We'd love for you to be part of our journey!

Mission

WE EXIST TO GLORIFY GOD THROUGH LOVING OUR NEIGHBOURS,  BUILDING  UP THE BODY OF CHRIST,  AND MAKING DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST BY AND THROUGH THE SAME LOVE AND GRACE HE SHOWS US.

Matthew 28:19, 20 and Matthew 22:37-39

core values

BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, that it is useful to teach about God and about life, that it is our code of conduct and that it is our guideline for how to live our lives so we bring honor and glory to God. The Bible is the central component of a life lived in honor to God.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

PRAYER

Prayer is the vital life blood of our communion with God. It needs to permeate all aspects of our lives so we are best able to know the will of God and to walk in accordance with that will.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

WORSHIP

Everything we do is to be worship to God. This includes but is not limited to our Sunday services, singing and preaching of the Word. This includes our time with family and friends. This means we are to demonstrate in our lives a difference between us and what the rest of the world around us says is right or good. Our measure of right and good is to do the will of God who created us.

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

OUTREACH

When we accept Christ as Savior, we are given God’s Holy Spirit to reside within us to not only guarantee our place in heaven with God but to empower us to share our faith with those we have contact with in our everyday lives. Outreach is all about relationships, how we are able to see a need and then fill it to bring others to an awareness of Christ. This is talking about lifestyle not programs.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you: and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Each of the above Core Values while listed separately, are not able to function without impacting the others. I cannot be spending time in God’s Word (the Bible) without also Praying, Worshiping, and seeking to reach others. Likewise, my prayer time will overflow into my reading of the Bible, my worship and my witness. So it is with all four of these values. To remove one from our lives affects the remaining three dramatically. They are interdependent and cohesive.
